Energy Week 2022
December 8th -10th, 2022
Energy Club @ Ross is excited to announce our event list for Energy Week 2022!
Please use the buttons below to register for Thursday and/or Friday events, as well as our Friday evening reception and RECC Finals via our CampusGroups page, whether or not you are a student at the University of Michigan. This will allow Energy Week coordinators to send location information and any live updates to all registered attendees—that information will not be included in the calendar invites linked below. Please note that individual registration prior to December 2nd is required for the Friday evening reception, as space is limited.

Keynote Address — A Career in Decarbonizing the Energy Sector: Public Policy, Industry Transformation and the IRA
Lauren Sher joins us with over a decade of experience as an energy advisor in the US Senate and as a Director of Government Affairs and Energy Policy at NextEra Energy. We'll hear Lauren's thoughts on the Inflation Reduction Act - a landmark moment in energy policy - and the roles of both government and industry players in accelerating the energy transition, as well as advice for others looking to build a career in decarbonization.
This event will take place in Room B1580 in the Blau Building at the Ross School of Business. Learn more about the Keynote Address here.

Panel — Energy Justice: It Takes a Village
Regressive pricing, negative health outcomes of polluting industries, disproportionate impact of climate change and lack of representation in the clean energy transition are just some of the ways that injustice is embedded into our energy system. It Takes A Village will showcase the work of 3 nonprofits working to address energy justice across each of these pillars and provide commentary on what government and industry can do to move forward faster.
This event will take place in Room B1590 in the Blau Building at the Ross School of Business.
